Paro International Airport is the only point of entry and exit for all travelers by flight to Bhutan. Only two airlines operate in and out of Paro International Airport, Druk Air, the national airline and Bhutan Airlines. The airlines operate an inbound flight from New Delhi, Kolkata, Bodh Gaya, Bagdogra and Guwahati in India and from Dhaka in Bangladesh and from Kathmandu in Nepal and from Bangkok Thailand and Singapore. Discounts on Druk Air airfare travelling to Bhutan
- Students are eligible for 30% discount on the published fare.
- Children (3-11 years) are eligible for 33% discount on the published fare.
- Infant (0-2 years) are eligible for 90% discount on the published fare.
These offers are subject to change and should be verified with the airlines. Relevant documents such as valid student ID and passport for age verification will be required to claim these discount schemes. Travelers from SAARC member countries are eligible for special rate booking with Druk Air.
Domestic Flight Services in Bhutan
Local airlines now offer domestic flights to Bumthang, central Bhutan from Paro International Airport. The airlines will also fly to Tashigang in the eastern Bhutan and Gelephu in the south. The domestic airports in Tashigang and Gelephu are currently under renovation.
