I am getting conflicting information regarding drones in Bhutan. Are tourists allowed to bring drones with them to Bhutan. Has anyone had experience taking one to Bhutan? Are there restrictions on flying drones in Bhutan?

Tourists and locals alike are not allowed to bring in drones to Bhutan at the moment. Concerned authorities are still in the process of drafting regulations on the usage of drones in Bhutan. I believe only Government agencies are using it for official purposes at the moment.
And Chris you should not try sneaking in one because authorities at the airport will probably confiscate it if caught. Sorry.
